ARK’s SMOOTH Grabber® P Tube (Hollow Handle) – Available in Three Colour-Coded Toughness Levels

ARK's Smooth Grabber® P Tube is just like the original P Grabber, but about 5cm of the stem is hollow instead of solid. This tube-like stem is ideal for individuals who want their chew tool to "collapse" more, either as a sensory chew and/or in feeding therapy.

Use the Grabber® P Tube to practice biting and chewing skills without the risk of choking, to build jaw strength and stability, and to exercise the mouth muscles. Place puréed foods inside the tube for functional biting/chewing practice, so that the user gets a taste of food when they bite down. As the hollow tube provides less resistance than the solid original Grabbers, this is a great "starter" chew tool for individuals with very limited jaw strength.

Technical Information -

ARK's Smooth Grabber® P Tube measures 5" (13cm) long, 2” (5cm) across the loop and ½” (1.3cm) thick. The hollow portion of the stem measures approximately 5cm long.

Please note - because it is hollow, the extension will feel much softer than other ARK chews in the same strength. These hollow chews are not recommended as a long-lasting option for avid or aggressive chewers, a solid chew would be a more suitable option.

A note about choosing the correct colour option -

Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength who are just learning to bite and chew

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. This level provides the most resistance/feedback to the jaw

Note -This product is not a toy. Recommended for children 5 years old and upwards. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear

Great product for my sensory seeker

This chewy has been a fantastic find for my son, who needs daily oral sensory input. The hollow design is a huge plus; I'm hopeful it will be gentler on his teeth while still providing the strong stimulation he needs. He's a really strong chewer, and I'm impressed that it's still holding up so well after a few weeks. I buy all of my son's chewies and holders from Tinknstink. They are delivered very quickly.
