You can use this chewelry as an oral aid, stim, or fidget toy to help calm, soothe and self-regulate thoughts during times of anxiety and stress. It is a safe alternative to chewing on pencils, fingers, knuckles, clothing etc. Chew tools are particularly useful for children and adults with Autism, ASD, SPD, ADHD or those who need a high level of sensory input.

Technical Information

Each Soccer Ball Pendant measures approximately 4.5cm in diameter and 1.2cm at the thickest part in the center. It is a great option for those who prefer to chew with their pre-molars and/or front teeth. The breakaway cord is 36 inches (91cm) long but can be shortened by scooting the thread out of the clasp, retying the knot at a shorter length, and then trimming the excess thread. The pendant is available in two colour-coded toughness/density levels.

Note - Due to the wider shape of the Soccer Ball, it may feel tougher than some of the slender pendants. For example, if you use a Gem Necklace in XXT, you may want to try XT in Soccer Ball

A note about choosing the correct toughness/density option

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers.

Please note - This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. This product contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - recommended for ages 5 years and upwards. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear.

My son is 7 and I noticed he liked to chew on things that give a little resistance, like water bottle handles, so I was looking for something firmer and this fit the bill. Unfortunately he did manage to take a bite out of the very edge after a few weeks (not the product's fault, his determination!) but in general it has held up extremely well. I bought the XT as I wasn't sure how firm it would be - next time would order the XXT for him but it is much firmer than others on the market, and plenty firm enough for those who aren't determined to bite a chunk out of it!

These chews are great - I have a very aggressive chewer so the fact I can choose extra tough is great. He still manages to get through them but they definitely last longer than any other I have found.

My son is 8 and can munch through these things when anxious very easily. Only been a few weeks but still pleased with the strength of this little chewy. It is more expensive than I would normally pay but have to say I’m happy with the price considering quality and cool factor with him being an older child. It is something he’s happy to take to school and his friends see him with if they have to. I also appreciate UK small business and would much rather pay a little more than line the pockets of the larger, easier, less ethical alternative!
