ARK's Best Friends Chewelry Set is the perfect chew set for two best friends or siblings. Keep one half and give the other to your best friend so that you will each have one half of the split heart design - each side is unique, but it is whole when you're together again!

You can use this chewelry as an oral aid, stim or fidget toy to help calm, soothe and self-regulate thoughts during times of anxiety and stress. It is a safe alternative to chewing on pencils, fingers, knuckles, clothing etc. Chew tools are particularly useful for children and adults with Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD or those who need a high level of sensory input.

Technical Information

Each half pendant measures about 6cm long, 4cm at the widest part and 1cm thick. It is a great option for those who prefer to chew with their pre-molars and/or front teeth. The breakaway cord is 36 inches (91cm) long but can be shortened by scooting the thread out of the clasp, retying the knot at a shorter length, and then trimming the excess thread. The pendant is available in three colour-coded toughness levels.

PLEASE NOTE – Because of the pointed tip, this is not a shape we would recommend for very avid chewers.

A note about choosing the correct colour option

Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest-lasting level for avid chewers.

Note - This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Recommended for 5 years and upwards. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. How long it lasts depends on the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables (such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels, if other sensory strategies are in place, etc.). While for some users a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace at the first sign of wear and tear.
