Our dual-sided, silicone mood band is ideal for children to wear at all times whether at school or at home. It is discreet and allows a child to communicate their feeling in a non-verbal, visual manner. Ideal for alerting teaching staff or friends about their emotional state. This mood band features a Happy / Sad Face Printed Icon on the appropriate side for extra visual impact.

The wearer can flip the wristband to show how they are feeling -

Green side with Happy Face Icon – feeling happy, comfortable, able to talk or listen, OK
Red side with Sad Face Icon – feeling unhappy, anxious, sad, upset, not OK, leave me alone or wanting some time out

The mood band comes in two sizes, making it suitable not only for children but for teenagers and adults too. Mood bands are ideal for children and adults with additional needs, Autism, SPD, ADHD, sensory issues or any difficulties with verbal communication. Also suitable for those who have mental health issues, dementia or may have had a stroke. It can be used within education, at work or in care home settings.

Sizing – available in two sizes -

Small – 18.0cm band length x 1.2cm deep x 0.2cm thick (child size)
Large – 20.2cm band length x 1.2cm deep x 0.2cm thick (older child or adult size)

These bracelets are very useful, and I would recommend them to anyone who has a hard time communicating their emotional state, or for use as an effective self-monitoring tool.

I have worn such mood bands for many years. I previously wore similar bands from ASD Visual Aids made of two separate thin silicone bands fused together and with debossed white text, but those are no longer available.

As a substitute this bracelet serves its purpose perfectly, but after only two weeks the green paint over the red silicone bracelet has already started to wear off, so I will likely need to replace the band quite regularly.

Disappointing

Not as good quality as they used to be. The band itself is robust (I don't chew it but wear and turn it daily) It turns with ease and is a great visual cue to the wearer's state but the green colour is 'painted' on to the red band and the colour wears off within a few months wear. I bought some a few years back and they were made of two bands glued together (which eventually came apart) - I feel like a review of the design is needed because this is a great product, it's just not as durable as it could be. It's also worth noting that the 'red' colour is actually more of a dark orange.
