The Metallic Ultra Pencil Grip – Single Grips in Metallic Shades

The Ultra Pencil Grip is designed to aid correct pencil grip development. It encourages the fingers to form the tripod grasp, which is considered to be the most effective grasp for handwriting activities. When in place, it provides a comfortable and secure grip which is particularly useful for those who grip their pen or pencil too tightly.

Please note – Pencil Grips are designed to be a snug fit, so that they do not move around once in place. A tiny amount of talc, Vaseline or vegetable oil may be required to “ease” the grip onto the pen or pencil. Pencil Grips fit standard pencils and pens. They do not fit large-barrelled, chunky or triangular pens or pencils. Not recommended for children under three years old as small parts may represent a choking hazard. Adult supervision is recommended. Pencils and pens are not included, they are for illustrative purposes only.

Perfect for hypermobile finger joints and arthritis

Perfect for hypermobile finger joints and arthritis. The second joint of my thumb collapses inwards and these clever grips prevent this from happening and thus prevent pain. I find for me personally the jumbo grips do this best but these smaller ones are very effective and more compact for out and about. They encourage correct placement of fingers and a looser grip too. They're great on pencils and paintbrushes for sketching and painting as well as pens for wtiting. I wish I'd had these from when I was young. They're great and I've recently ordered a load more.

My 7yo son is waiting for a dyspraxia test due to fine motor and coordination difficulties. He can hold a pencil ok but until recently got handache a lot. Junior school stopped his ergonomic pencil so I bought him this to try and he loves it so much that he takes it to and from school every day, so i need to buy more!! He's so unorganised, he cant pack his school bag, but he remembers this!! He says it makes it much easier to hold and writing is less frustrating (he also needs handles on his cutlery so suspect gripping long times is hard). Such a small aid that makes life so much easier for him. He also said he prefers this type (squashy and bigger) to the smaller firmer style i also bought)
