ARK's Bite Tube Hollow Chew Necklace is a simple, discreet chew tool for older children and adults. The top half of the chew is solid (where the hole goes through) and the bottom half is hollow - perfect for those who want a chew pendant that has a softer feel. It is a great option for those who prefer collapsible feedback as they chew.

You can use this chewelry as an oral aid, stim, or fidget toy to help calm, soothe and self-regulate thoughts during times of anxiety and stress. It is a safe alternative to chewing on pencils, fingers, knuckles, clothing etc. Chew tools are particularly useful for children and adults with Autism, ASD, SPD, ADHD or those who need a high level of sensory input.

Please note - This necklace is hollow and has a softer feel. Even in XXT strength, this may not be a long-lasting chew necklace for moderate to avid chewing

Technical Information

Each Bite Tube Hollow pendant measures about 5.8cm long and 1cm in diameter. It is a great option for those who prefer to chew with their back teeth. The breakaway cord is 36 inches (91cm) long but can be shortened by scooting the thread out of the clasp, retying the knot at a shorter length, and then trimming the excess thread. The pendant is available in three colour-coded toughness/density levels.

A note about choosing the correct toughness/density option

Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers.

Please note - This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. This product contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - recommended for ages 5 years and upwards. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear.

My son chews all the time but the chunky chew necklaces are not the sort of thing he likes to chew. He likes to chew small things and things that squish down (lego, lego tyres, paper, string etc). He also chews on the side not the front. He is 10 years old. These necklaces have been great. He likes chewing them, it stops him chewing other stuff. They are also rather subtle and he like the look of them. He has got the light grey and black and likes them both. I have also bought spares for school and home as it makes a real difference if he is without it. He has had them 5 weeks so far and they still look perfect.

Tink and Stink were also fab at advising me what to choose and grouping my orders. Perfect service.

Perfect Chewy necklace for my sensory needs, handy to have around your neck, provides good sensory feedback due to being hollow, very durable even at the softest one, have ordered this one a couple of times and will definitely order again.

Great Chew

Bought these for my 7 year old granddaughter. She was always chewing her sleeves, clothes, anything. She now wears this to school and chews on it when she gets anxious.
This is her second one as she chewed through the first in a number of weeks, but she is very happy with it.

Nice product, makes popping noise while chewing

Nice product, but be aware due to the hollow tube shape it makes a popping noise as you chew (vacumn caused and can get stuck to back of mouth too). Good for helping minimise pain from wisdom teeth coming in. Suitable for molar chewing and OK to clean. Do recommend but for this use favour the crystal shapes.
